Long -term partnership
Cisco Canada and Softchoice have a partnership history that has been lasting years. In addition to business, our relationships are rooted in a common mission that leads a meaningful change. With the common belief that doing good is good for business, our organizations prefer to support each other when opportunities for cooperation and community arise.
One of the early efforts is our work with Connected North, a program founded by Cisco and now operated by Takeitglobal. Connected technology of cooperation in the classroom connected in the north for the provision of live, interactive educational experience to students in remote communities, incing indigenous communities. Cooperation with the ecosystem of technological partners included Cisco and Softchoice, Connected North now reaches more than 40,000 cvosko at 200 schools.
Improved capability of the Delta Family Resource Center Center Center
They include isolated communities in the northwest Toronto, which joined the relationship of giving back, Cisco Canada and Softchoice joined forces to support the Delta Family Resource Center, local level, non -profit organization, community agency providing basic services and access to computer online. The Delta Family Resource Center also works with Cisco to offer IT and AI web courses and equip young people with valuable and trading skills.
Almost 11,000 customers are used by the Family Resource Center. Twenty percent of their customers visit their community centers specifically for Internet access and online sources. “For many of our customers, access to the Internet in their home is a luxury that they cannot afford,” shares PEMI Jacobs, Delta Executive Director Family Resource Center. “Yet it is a source that plays a crucial role in accessing government aid needed to help them keep the roof over their heads and food on the table.
Until recently, the Delta Family Resources Center had an outdated network that was not stable or reliable, and represented a security risk. Through its GRANT Technology Grant program, Cisco identified the required hardware and Cisco Meraki software needed to strengthen the network and soft -bike Family Resource Center design and implementation of solutions.
Configuration of the right solution
The Softchoice project team, which will take time to understand the needs of the organization, designed and implemented adapted, secure and easy -to -manage network infrastructure across three non -profit organization leases. The project was delivered through the Charity Accelerator program in Charity Accelerator and Cisco provided the Meraki hardware and software through its technology grant program, all free of charge for Delta Family Resource Center.
“We are excited to make our technology resources available to the Delta Family Resource Center through our Charity Accelerator program,” said Sean Denomey, Softchoice SVP services and Charity Accelerator Projertretive Executive. “The program helps small non -profit organizations by providing them with technology consultants, for Bono to focus their time on their missions. The work that takes place at the Delta Family Resource Center family center is concentrated on building inclusive and engaging communities and was a very well -intensified charity organization through our Charity Accelerator program.”
Support for an improved online experience
The upgrade was transformation for the entire staff and customers of the non -profit organization. For Troy Reis, however, it was extremely meaningful, IT administration in Delta Family Resource Center. “These improvisations allowed me to switch from mobile technical support and regularly had to repair outages in our three places, strategic advisors, and implement solutions that support our client’s needs,” Troy says.
The sale of upgrade, Delta Family Resource Center has seen a significant improvement in Wi-Fi boundability, while the organization’s employees were much less released. Delta Family Resource Center customers also use digital services more, so much that the organization had to use time.
And thanks to the reaction and expertise of Adam Genery, s. Consultant, professional services and Ryan Brown, consultant, professional services, on the implementation of Softchoice volunteer teams, are outraged by a resolution of a quick phone call. Even more importantly, the Delta Family Resource Center has now improved online security and has supported a safer web environment for customers and employees.
“We are so grateful for the products, services and support we receive from Cisco and Softchoice,” says Kemi. “Given their grant programs, our operations and services have literally transformed.”
